About
I am a senior researcher and graduate student from the UC Berkeley School of Information. I have experience integrating research in an applied product setting at Asana, Google, and Spotify.
While at Berkeley, I was a fellow at the Algorithmic Fairness and Opacity Group (AFOG). I worked on several HCI projects on topics ranging from fake Instagram accounts, emotion detection in algorithmic hiring, and crowd-sourced fact checking.
Before pursuing my master’s, I worked at Google for 3 years as a User Advocate and Researcher. I received my B.A. in Cognitive Science, also from UC Berkeley, in 2015.
My personal interests include mixed media art, surfing, and perfecting my family’s paella recipe.
